Located at one of the highest points in all of Toronto, Mount Dennis offers a nice mix of hills, ravines, and parkland.

History
Mount Dennis was established in the early 1800’s when John Dennis, a shipbuilder from Philadelphia, settled in the area.

Over the years, the neighbourhood continued to develop. In 1893, the first school was opened. Shortly thereafter in 1916, the Kodak Company moved to Mount Dennis, which attracted workers from all over the area.

During the 1950’s, most of the remaining open land was developed into subdivisions for residential properties.

Homes in Mount Dennis are unique in the way that they were built every decade, spanning from the late 1800’s through the 1960’s. For this reason, the neighbourhood is home to a variety of home styles.

The most coveted homes of Mount Dennis overlook the Humber River Valley or one of the local parks.
