For many years, High Park has been one of the top neighbourhoods in Toronto for raising a family. This is due in large part to the variety of single family homes for sale, as well as the well known schools, including but not limited to Humberside Collegiate.
In addition to the many types of homes for sale, High Park is home to a large number of rentals.
From the large oak trees to the rolling hills, residents of High Park enjoy the tranquil atmosphere without being too far away from the action.
History
The history of High Park dates back many years when the region north of Bloor Street was part of the West Toronto Junction.
When compared to other neighbourhoods in the area, residential development got an earlier start with the first homes constructed during the late 1800’s.
Homes
There are a variety of home styles in High Park, including Tudor, Edwardian, and Victorian.
Most of the properties were constructed during the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s, making them some of the oldest in the area.
Condominium complexes in High Park, such as those located along Quebec Avenue, attract young singles and couples who are interested in moving to the area at a cheaper price point.
