Located along Toronto’s eastern beaches, Cliffside is a family friendly neighbourhood offering a variety of attractive features ranging from the Kingston Road shopping district to vast parkland and much more.
Many people associate the neighbourhood of Cliffside with the St. Augustine Seminary, which has been training priests for more than 100 years.
History
Once known as Mortlake, Cliffside has a long history dating back to the early 1900’s.
In the early days, the are was a popular summer getaway for people of the region. However, by the 1920’s the first homes were built at the south end of Chine Drive.
Many of the original arts and crafts style homes are still present, alongside others that have since been constructed.

The majority of the homes in Cliffside were built in the 1920’s, 30’s, and 40’s. One of the distinguishing features of the community is the many styles of homes, including Craftsman, Cape Cod, and Tudor among others.
Many of the homes on Fishleigh Drive provides views of Lake Ontario.
