As a self-contained neighbourhood, if you live in Thorncliffe Park you don’t have to leave the area for much – unless you have the desire to do so.

Within the limits of the community, you will find the following: school, shopping mall, community center, library, business center, and churches.

History

Although Thorncliffe Park was originally settled in the early 1800’s, it was not until the late 1950’s when the area was developed by Thorncliffe Park Ltd. into the community that exists today.

Before development, spanning from 1920 to 1952, the area known as Thorncliffe Park was home to a popular race track, which attracted visitors from far and wide.

Even though most of the people living in Thorncliffe Park rent, due to the large number (more than 30) of low and high rise apartment buildings, there are opportunities to purchase in this community.
