Many people are attracted to Parkwoods, thanks to its great location with in Toronto. The community is bordered by Lawrence Avenue to the South, the Don Valley Parkway to the west, Highway 401 to the north, and Victoria Park Avenue to the ease.
Despite the fact that Parkwoods is located in close proximity to many highways and major roadways, the community is not nearly as loud and busy as one would believe.
Of all the communities in Toronto, Parkwoods is by far one of the most naturally beautiful. This is due in large part to its location on the boundary of the Don River Valley. With tree lined streets and rolling hills, residents of this community fall in love with the surroundings.
History
Parkwoods is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Toronto, dating back to the early to mid-1800’s.
The community got its name from Parkwoods Village Drive, one of the main streets located in the area.
Development of the community started in 1956 and was completed by the 1960’s.
Homes
There are a variety of home styles located in the Parkwoods community, including split-level properties, ranch style, and two story homes. There are a variety of architectural elements as well, including contemporary, Georgian Revival, and Tudor.
In addition to single family homes, Parkwoods offers both semi-detached properties as well as luxury condominiums.
