Located in the northern region of the City of Toronto, Newtonbrook is a community with a variety of real estate opportunities coupled with plenty of recreational opportunities. History
Since being established in the early 1800’s, Newtonbrook has gone through multiple transformations. For instance, the community went through its residential growth in the 1950’s. During this time, many landmarks that were once popular to the area were destroyed. Fortunately, some of these still live on. Most notably,: the Newtonbrook Schoolhouse and Newtonbrook General Store.
Homes
The original homes of Newtonbrook were constructed between the 1920’s and 1960’s. A variety of homes can be found in the neighbourhood, including split-levels, bungalows, and 1.5 story construction.
Recently, there has been an increase in the number of custom homes built in Newtonbrook. New home construction is popular on Bayview Avenue, with luxury condos located on Steeles Avenue.
