With a nice combination of residential and commercial space, Harbourfront is a favorite neighbourhood of those who are interested in a great place to live, without being too far away from the action.
Its location on the lake, combined with homes in a variety of price ranges, people from all walks of life find that living in Harbourfront can become reality.
History
Although the Harbourfront district is a great place to live in today’s day and age, this was not always the case. In fact, if you go back to the early 1800’s this area was nothing more than a landfill.
The addition of industrial facilities and railway tracks eventually segmented Harbourfront from the rest of Toronto, making it an undesirable place to live.
Fortunately, things began to turn around in the 1980’s, with the Queens Quay Terminal being a great example of this. This space is now known for being the perfect blend of residential, commercial and retail space.
Homes
Those who are interested in luxury condominium apartment buildings should take the time to see all that Harbourfront has to offer.
The majority of the condos in the area were built during the rebirth of the region during the 1980’s. That being said, you will find some new buildings as well.
Most new condos typically have a view of the lake, complete with a balcony.
Pricing
These luxury condos are coveted by many, thanks to the high level of amenities as well as the top notch location and breathtaking views.
