Anybody who is interested in country living in close proximity to the city will fall in love with West Deane Park. In addition to its quiet setting, West Deane Park is home to a variety of wildlife thanks to the Mimico Creek Valley that runs through it. If you enjoy nature and don’t mind spotting animals from time to time, this community is the place for you.
History
When purchased by Percy Law in the 1930’s, West Deane Park was nothing more than farmland. At this time, Law used the land primarily for raising racehorses and cattle.
In the early 1960’s. Law decided to sell his farm to a land developer. It was at this time that the present day neighborhood was developed.
Homes
Most of the homes in West Deane Park were constructed during the 1960’s. These properties include split level, ranch style bungalows, and Georgian Revival designs.
You will also find some multi-family homes and row-houses on the outer edge of the community.
West Deane Park also features a small development of more modern homes built in the 1980’s.
