Located East of the Don Valley, Playter Estates is an exclusive neighbourhood that features many of the most desirable homes in Toronto. Along with the high quality homes that line the streets of the community, residents enjoy the Danforth Avenue shopping district along with the close proximity to the city’s transit system.
History
Playter Estates gets its name from the Playter family, the first inhabitants of the area in the 1790’s. The land was handed down from generation to generation, used as farmland until 1912.
At this point, the neighbourhood as you see it today was developed and a growing number of residents began to make their home here.
