L’Amoreaux

Located in the northern part of Toronto, L’Amoreaux has a suburban appearance and feel which is attractive to homeowners and homebuyers from all walks of life.

From the sidewalks to the tree-lined streets, this neighbourhood is one of the most family friendly in the city.

There are many subdivision communities within L’Amoreaux, with some of the most popular being: Bamburgh, Wishing Well, and Bridlewood.

History
L’Amoreaux gets its name from the first settler in the area, Josue L’Amoreaux.

While people have been living in this region since the early 1800’s, it was not until the 1950’s when the transition to modern day neighborhood began to take place.

While the development of L’Amoreaux started in the 1950’s, it continued through the late 1970’s.

Homes
The majority of the homes in L’Amoreaux were constructed between the 1950’s and 1970’s. Most of these properties feature a garage, some of which are attached to the home itself.

There are many home styles that make up the neighbourhood, including two-story, split-levels, and bungalows. Along with this, there are townhomes and apartment buildings scattered throughout the area.

Some of the most expensive homes in L’Amoreaux are located on the O’Shanter Golf Course.
